The Wedding Guide for Guests

The role of the wedding guest is often more complicated than one might think. Between deciphering dress codes, convincing +1s, providing appropriate gifts, and (somewhat) restraining yourself at the open bar, there’s a lot of responsibility.

This season, lessen your list of to-dos by leaving the wardrobe planning up to us. Leverage our sartorial expertise and let us help navigate your way through your upcoming wedding schedule in style, allowing you to put your full focus on thoroughly enjoying yourself.

Getting Started

We’ll always encourage you to book a consultation with one of our many knowledgeable Clothing Advisors far in advance of your approaching wedding(s), leaving ample time for us to help you get every last detail right. However, visiting us at least a few weeks ahead of time works in a pinch as well.

Ready-Made Memories

If you’re short on time or don’t necessarily want to spend over the odds on a new wedding-ready get-up, then pursuing the ready-to-wear route is most likely your best option. No matter if you’re in need of a single garment or an entire outfit, the vast array of tailoring available across our Harry Rosen stores and online caters to all requirements.

Between suits, sport jackets, tuxedos, dress shirts, and more, you can find everything you need off-the-rack (and all in one place). Do keep in mind, we always recommend taking advantage of our complimentary alterations service, which allows our talented tailors to improve the fit of your garment where need-be in advance of the big event.

The Custom Experience

For some wedding guests, ready-to-wear just doesn’t cut it. Whether you’re attending a family member’s or close friend’s wedding — or you’re simply using the occasion as an excuse for a new suit — there are many reasons why the custom-made experience might make more sense for you.

Ultimately, the advantage here comes down to fit and fabric. By selecting all your very own features (like the materials, construction, stylistic details, and more), you’ll have far more control over your outfit than with ready-made garments. However, you must keep in mind the made-to-measure route requires a long lead-time to complete — about four or five weeks in total, typically.

The Suitable Accessories

Between cufflinks, timepieces, pocket squares, and more, add those tasteful finishing touches to your outfit from our selection of formal accessories.

Formal Footwear
