5 Work-Worthy Outfits for Spring and Summer

From Monday morning to Friday afternoon, these five ‘fits will see you through the work week without sacrificing your personal style.

The modern work week is as varied in scene and setting as ever before. From the home office to the corporate office and everywhere in between, where you work (and what you’re wearing) is never the same day-over-day.

While that might spell a challenge for some, we see it as an opportunity to inspire some creativity into your professional style sensibilities. From the start of the week through to the end, here’s what to wear to work.

These days, anyone with a hybrid office schedule or remote working situation will most likely ease into the work week at home, and while peak WFH-era style (read: pajamas and dressing gowns) isn’t kosher on camera anymore, you can dress decidedly more casual for your Zoom calls.

Tuesdays are anyone’s guess during today’s modern work week — some head into the office, many remain at home, and some prefer to switch up the scenery with a third location, like a library or coffee shop. This work-ready look assumes you’re in one of the two latter camps and can afford to keep things (somewhat) casual.

Mid-week means heading to the office for most people, and that likely includes in-person meetings and plenty of interaction with your professional peers. This is when your appearance matters the most, which means it’s time to dress the part, even if your biggest meeting is around the water cooler.

THURSDAY

Another big-hitting business day, Thursdays tend to be spent in the office or, at the very least, on site with clients or partners. One day closer to the weekend means you can pare back on the formality scale, though still need to be prepared to step into any situation, boardroom or breakroom.

FRIDAY

The weekend’s almost here, though you've still got eight hours left to lock in for. Unless you need to be in the office, Fridays are better spent working from home. Here, comfort is king (and helps with nursing that hangover), but you can’t drop the ball this late in the game. Finish your week strong with something that balances work and play in equal measure.
