Office dress codes used to feel more restrictive than creative, but times have changed, and it isn’t all just suits and ties anymore.

While we still appreciate (and often wear) tailoring to work, we’ve also carved out some substantial space in our work wardrobes for more expressive pieces, and this season our selection of office-appropriate clothing is more fun than ever.

Offering his expertise and insight into a few new-in go-to's for the office this fall is Adam Percival, Director of Made-to-Measure.

Canali KEI Herringbone Wool Suit

“The KEI tailoring line is one of Canali’s most successful models, and it’s pretty easy to see why with this double-breasted edition. The unstructured nature of the jacket allows it to be worn casually or even as a separate with another pair of trousers, and the neutral colour palette only underscores its versatility. This is a jacket that can effortlessly coordinate with items you already have and immediately compliment your existing work wardrobe."

Kiton Cashmere-Silk Long-Sleeve Polo

“What I love most about this luxurious knit is the colour. Typically, bright and bold colours like this expressive orange are reserved for Spring/Summer collections, but Kiton intended for this piece to be worn in the autumn. If you’re wearing navy or grey tailoring to work, this long-sleeve polo will provide an energetic pop of colour, bringing life to your outfit. The super soft fabric composition makes it endlessly comfortable (both indoors and out) and its fine gauge and light weight means it’ll fit nicely under a tailored jacket without adding extra bulk.”

Marco Pescarolo Stretch Cotton-Cashmere Pants

“The same colour sentiment applies to this pair of pants from Marco Pescarolo — we usually only see colours like this in the summertime, so this burnt orange is very unique for this season. I also really admire their versatility; 5-pocket pants are a smart cross between jeans and trousers, which means they’re great for both work and play. Wear these with a soft jacket or on their own as a statement piece, just make sure you don’t add too many different colours to your outfit’s palette.”

ZEGNA Oasi Cashmere Overshirt

“The Oasi Cashmere Overshirt from ZEGNA is always a favourite at Harry's, no matter the season. ZEGNA release this versatile piece in different colours and fabrics each season, which has helped the model quickly become the modern office’s new sport jacket alternative. The term ‘dress it up or down’ is used a lot, but this guy definitely deserves it. It’s great for travel because it can be worn as either outerwear, a layering piece, or a tailored garment. And the great thing is, ZEGNA often creates knits and trousers in the exact same colours as its from overshirts, allowing you to wear a fully tonal, one-brand look— super easy for guys to understand how to style.”
