Event Recap: Toronto Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride
Motorcycle and menswear enthusiasts come together once again in the name of men’s health.
Sunday, May 19th, 2024 marked the 12th edition of the annual Toronto Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride, where over 500 people gathered to dress their best and ride classic and vintage-inspired motorcycles for the purpose of raising funds and awareness for men’s mental health and cancer research.
Eric Hendrikx, one of two official “Ride Hosts” of the Toronto event, was happy to share that the total donations raised in support of the event far surpassed the fundraising goal of $45,000. Blowing the event’s previous records out of the water, the 2024 edition raised $178,485 for Movember Foundation, a popular charity dedicated to men’s health causes, such as prostate cancer, testicular cancer, and suicide among men.
This year’s Toronto Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride started and finished in Toronto’s Yorkville neighbourhood, just metres away from the Harry Rosen Bloor Street Flagship store – an appropriate location considering the vast embrace of tailoring among most of the riders.
