A good rule of thumb is: If you wouldn’t wear it off the course, don’t wear it on the course. Luckily, a bevy of brands from J. Lindeberg to Greyson to Galvin Green (new at Harry’s this season) are making golf-appropriate wear that wouldn’t look out of place in the city. From there it’s pretty simple, as certain golfwear classics never really go out of style – consider a protective yet lightweight outer layer, a slim polo (keep the sleeves above the elbow), and shorts or pants in a neutral colour that will match almost any shirt. With that you’ll look great, feel comfortable, and can keep your mind on improving your swing.
