3 Ways to Wear It: The Overshirt
At Harry Rosen, we strongly believe in building sustainable wardrobes. Before we purchase any new item of clothing, we put thorough consideration into how and where we’ll wear it — and perhaps most importantly, what we’ll wear it with.
So, before we purchase or commission a new garment, we like to assess its versatility by pairing it with the wardrobe staples we already own.
Today, we’re profiling the Overshirt — an item that falls somewhere between a heavy shirt and a light jacket — and showing you how we would dress it up and down by building out a few ‘fits made up of some of our favourite go-to items.
The Dressy
Sporting Zegna’s linen-twill Overshirt in place of a blazer is easy when worn atop a few smarter staples. For a more polished and put-together look, wear the Overshirt with a slim-fitting turtleneck, a pair of tailored wool trousers, and some sleek leather Chelsea Boots.
The Daily
Dress things down a notch by subbing out your more professional pants with a more casual pair of drawstring trousers. As far as your knitwear and footwear go, opt for more laid-back alternatives like a simple crewneck sweater and soft suede Chelseas instead.
