Designer New Arrivals
The start of a new season offers the opportunity to start again; to readdress your wardrobe and consider where the cornerstone of cool currently resides. This spring, we invite you to shed your layers and eschew your preconceptions – a new season is here, and it’s time to embrace the latest inspirations from fashion’s most influential minds.
Referencing fresh releases from familiar faces (plus a few new names), we’ve identified three main trends that feature throughout our exciting designer collections for this Spring/Summer ‘24.
Elevated Branding
It wasn't long ago when many fashion houses believed that, when it came to logos, bigger was always better. This season, the concept of subtlety has resurfaced and with it a more minimal approach to branded looks. Afterall, style's best-kept secrets aren’t public access – IYKYK.
Instead of large prints and loud logos, brands like Balmain, Purple Brand, and MM6 have opted for smaller, more secretive scripts or symbols that require a closer look to uncover. Kenzo and Rhude (a new brand to Harry’s this season) have taken the embroidery and textured route, reimagining their branding with new mediums and materials.
Statement-Making Pieces
In a world where ‘Quiet Luxury’ and old-money aesthetics are so prevalent, sometimes the best way to break through the crowd is by making a statement. Just how that’s executed, however, depends on who you’re wearing.
Atypical fabric textures and finishes are a surefire way to catch attention, with Marni's fuzzy mohair-blend cardigan and Thom Browne's frayed edge tweed overshirt grabbing eyes instantly. Jil Sander's monochromatic tonal look plays more with silhouette, creating box shapes up top that provide plenty of circulation throughout the summer months. Rhude's intriguing use of patterns that run seamlessly across this short sleeve shirt and shorts look is the easiest way to have fun while looking put together under the sun.
Outerwear Anchors
Spring isn’t always sunshine and warm weather – whether the forecast calls for precipitation or a dip below regular temperatures, having the right outerwear to see you through the season is essential. A lightweight jacket is also an easy piece to anchor the rest of your outfit around.
The classic trucker by MM6 is made of equal parts denim and leather, which will start conversations anywhere you wear it. Frame has put its modern workwear spin on this chore coat by weaving in elements reminiscent of old-school duck jackets. Somewhere between the two is this khaki bomber by A.P.C. (another new brand to Harry’s this spring), which will look great with practically anything you wear it with C.P. Company's water-resistant bomber is the ideal answer to rain – oh, and it also helps it’s made of an incredibly unique translucent material.
